Defending the Right of Knowing the Truth

The Union for the Reconstruction of Romania - URR is joining the campaign that sustains the active members of the present Board of CNSAS and will participate in the support rally that will take place on Tuesday, the 11 -th of March. We are stating that the PSD and the PRM initiative of blocking the process of revealing those who were involved in political persecution and who are also continuing their careers within PSD and PRM, is immoral.

The methods used by the former Security can be seen in the methods used by the present governing party. The report issued by the subcommittee - that is also illegal - that was responsible with studying CNSAS state, is fully twisting the truth: the ones skipping work become the ones that were the most hard working, the ones traveling abroad with no real reason become the most efficient of them, the ones who really tried to make things work within CNSAS become the ones that responsible of blocking its functioning.

The Union for the Reconstruction of Romania - URR believes that the most important and necessary thing to be done is to respect laws and democratic procedures. Namely, this means to keep the present structure of the CNSAS Board and to oblige those that are blocking its activity to really do their jobs.

We consider that it is a must to use all legal means for reminding to the government members how much they digressed from democracy and common sense paths. Thus, we call for everyone who whishes to defend the last institution from Romania that is free of political interferences, to participate in surrounding Parliament Palace Rally from Tuesday, the 11-th of March.
