Christian - Democracy without Democratic Rights

The Union for the Reconstruction of Romania - URR is feeling that the way the PNTCD president Victor Ciorbea has decided to bar from the party some PNTCD members of the youth organization the very moment they were representatives of Romania to the European Christian democrats youngsters congress held in Haga is quite immoral. Not even the fact that one of them had been elected as secretary - treasurer of the youth organization of the European Popular Party could not temper the inquisitorial flush of the PNTCD leading board.

We think that every party that has the ambition of managing the country's problems should first of all prove within itself the attachment to the democratically values, to be a good example of openness and transparency. We could not expect an efficient and moral act of governing from one party that is disregarding its own members.

The Union for the Reconstruction of Romania - URR is feeling that the Christian - democracy should have as central value the human being, of offering each and every one the possibility of promoting its dignity and of making its own ideas work. We are thinking that the political leaders that do not show respect even to their own members have no possibility whatsoever of respecting the votants.
