The Doughnut of the Macroeconomic Signals

The Union for the Reconstruction of Romania - URR is stating that the absurd optimism the Nastase government has embraced when talking about the Romanian economy and its 2003 European integration chances is quite irresponsible. The Romanian economy will not increase its development in conditions in which the government does nothing but brag about the economical growth and deny rudely the warnings and the negative forecasts of the European officials.

The objective of the 2007 integration is already being missed, thanks to the inefficiency and the passivity of the Nastase government because the functional market economy status can not be awarded anymore in 2003 from the UE. Unlike the same status from the USA, status which was awarded on behalf of some declarations and political actions, the real market economy which is compatible to the European one can not be founded on triumphal declarations which refer only to the macro economical signals the PSD propagandistic department is weaving.

The Union for the Reconstruction of Romania - URR is demanding the government to start, even if in the 12th hour, the state sector reform, mainly the energetic one. We believe that Romania has already thrown away too many billions of dollars for this inefficient sector and that the price we are paying just for that PSD can afford to support out of public money a devoted electorate is quite high.
