Let Vama Veche Be!

The Union for the Reconstruction of Romania - URR is sustaining the fight of a brave enthusiasts group for the salvation of the specifics and the tradition that have made the section between Vama Veche and 2 Mai one of the most loved places on the beach. Loved by people which posses free spirit, soul and body. And especially because of these things hated by narrow-minded hypocrites with little soul. Hypocrites that are at power now, so it happened, and who believe that because of their position they can force us all to become just like them.

Over the time, in Vama Veche there was born an alternative way of "going to the sea", a community in which the accepted values are creating a special personal comfort, based upon respect and tolerance. It has become a place wanted by free people who want to escape a few days or weeks the unfriendly environment of concrete buildings, of stands full of gypsy music and the restaurants full of air and graces.

There is the place where people that dislike in the same measure both Adrian the Wonder Child and Adrian the Single Prime Minister. People that like nature, reed, wood, sand, rock, blues, jazz and sun rising from the sea. Unfortunately for us, these people are in minority, so in danger now of being overwhelmed by square-heads and poor relations that are trying to force their presence and their bad taste by using money, force and some legislative nonsense even in this last corner of civilized non-conformism of Romania.

In the name of this minority and of its rights we have decided to take attitude and to do anything at our reach in order to preserve the freedom of the spirit in Vama Veche.
