Of Contracts, Flexibility and Efficiency

The Union for the Reconstruction of Romania - URR is considering that the firemen and police soldiers units have to be served by their employees only and the de-militarization of the Police should be continued. The Resort Minister's intention of maintaining the anachronous institution of mandatory enrollment, hiding under words like this solution is cheaper, is clearly showing his incapacity in managing and re-organizing these structures.

All activities that are held by the Internal Ministry are a budgetary priority to every country that prefers the reign of law against to anarchy and corruption. The real problem is not the lack of money, but the inefficiency and the chronic corruption of this institute which is ripping the national budget out of huge amounts of money, amounts that are bigger than its own budget.

We think that Romania has plenty to do regarding the "de-militarization" in general, so the reports based upon irrefutable orders should be replaced by contracts that are stimulating the efficiency and the professionalism. We find the recent tendency of populating the public administration with career military personal so unfortunate. These ones will never succeed in adding the wanted stamina, but at the very best a plus of rigidity.
