Incompetence or bad will, which is it,
Mr. Blanculescu?
The pompous initiative of the National Authority for Control (ANC) of
drastically sanctioning the tax evasion of over 10.000 Euro is nothing
but another nail firmly stuck by Mr. Blanculescu in the coffin of correct
functioning rules of market economy in Romania.
Applying such a measure in the Romanian chaos and fiscal legislative
confusion only brings the fiscal liberty of almost each Romanian entrepreneur
at the fiscal inspectors' mercy. The hallucinant interpretations of the
legislation the control groups are often applying are already turning
each business person into a permanent possible criminal.
In the Union for the Reconstruction of Romania - URR's vision the first
compulsory step towards a clean economy in today's Romania is to make
the fiscal regulations lesser and simpler. Next, the second step represents
a drastic but equal sanction, for both those that would break these clear
and simple regulations and those that would ask for or take bribe in order
to "forget" these infractions. To think these steps in the reverse order
is just as one would tie the wagon in front of the oxen or just as one
would like to legalize a way of pressure and blackmail on all entrepreneurs
of Romania. Is it incompetence or bad will?
Before punishing the mistake one should create the good behavior conditions,
but this looks like a completely unknown concept to the Nastase government,
a government which is more interested in warlike declarations than in
a decent behavior.
