February 15en, 2004 New Name, Old Habits?
The Union for the Reconstruction of Romania - URR is astonished to found out that of all the old politicians that are attempting an any cost a last-minute come-back on the public scene Petre Roman has wisely chosen for his Democratic Force (FD) the least honorable way: to create confusion; the party name abbreviation sounds like the PD and the electoral sign and the mark concept- the house were stolen from URR.
This is not the first time when parties with European pretensions reveal a behavior that has nothing in common with these kinds of pretensions. Since URR first appeared, ideas, messages, solutions have been stolen from us and each time we have defended from these thefts by all mediatic and legal means we had available.
We are publicly announcing that this time we will do the same and file a petition to the High Court of Justice of Bucharest and we will be contesting the FD demand for registration having as mark the house.
We are hoping that during this electoral year the citizens' vote will
remove once and for all from the political scene all politicians that
show no respect towards the work and the property, either material or
intellectual of those around them.
